Keppel Offshore & Marine Family Day 2007
21 October 2007
The Keppel Offshore & Marine Family Day 2007 was organised by VOYAGE! and supported by VOX Productions, VOX Studio, and the Motion Motif & Fiction Company (MMFC).
For the VOYAGE! team, planning for the project was certainly challenging and exciting as it was a large-scale carnival for more than 18,000 Keppel staff and their families.
Seeing that the theme of the Family Day was "Safety First", the VOYAGE! team decided to emphasise that by getting Keppel staff to set a World and Singapore record for "The World's Longest Chain of Safety Helmets" during the event. This record-setting Family Day saw approximately 18,000 safety helmets forming a chain spanning a distance of 5.5 km across the entire Siloso beach at Sentosa. Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen was invited to grace the event and top off the chain.
While the VOYAGE! team planned for the event, expert specialists from VOX Productions gave advice on effective sound distribution to spread across the entire beach site, while VOX Studio took care of the structural built-up of the helmets and decorations across Sentosa. MMFC also supported the team with creative design concepts for the entire show's marketing. With this strong collaboration from the VOX Group of companies, the Keppel Family Day was a success, garnering a commendable testimony from the client.
This record-setting event was also featured on ChannelNewsAsia, The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao on the same day.
